A multidisciplinary artist and lifelong creative, Mel brings personal experience and genuine passion to the work of nervous system care. As a painter and graphic designer, she has lived the demands that creative life places on the body and mind and has come to understand how easily that toll, when left unaddressed, can lead to burnout, disconnection, and the slow erosion of the very thing that drives creative work.
That lived experience is central to why she co-founded TogetherHouse. Mel plays a central role in shaping the organization's long-term vision and creative direction, developing TogetherHouse's programming and offerings, and cultivating the collaborator relationships that bring that vision to life. Her approach is grounded, community-focused, and deeply informed by her own journey as an artist.
Beyond TogetherHouse, Mel is a board member of Evergreen Town Hall, where she is committed to deepening community connection, surfacing local needs, and bringing more diverse voices into civic conversation, work that reflects her broader belief in showing up for the communities she calls home.
Mel's work is rooted in the belief that when artists are cared for as whole people, the art and the industry are stronger for it. Through TogetherHouse, she is helping build a more sustainable and human-centered future for the music community.
